When you ask us about a property you are telling us something commercially valuable. This page says exactly what we do with it, and what we will never do with it.
The thing worth saying first. Knowing that you are a motivated buyer, in a named suburb, with a stated budget, is worth money to agents, brokers and developers. We do not sell it, share it, trade it or pass it on — not to a partner, not to a "preferred supplier", not in aggregate, not anonymised for marketing. The only people who see your enquiry are the people writing your report.

Payment details. Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see, receive or store your card number. We see only the fact of payment, the amount, and the name and email associated with it.
Giving us this information is voluntary — but we cannot produce a report without at least an email address and a property.
We do not use your information to market to you unless you have asked us to, and we do not use it to build a profile of you for anyone else's benefit.
We use a small number of service providers to run the business. Each sees only what it needs to:

We may also disclose information where the law requires it, or to our professional advisers or insurer if a claim or dispute arises.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal information, and we do not supply it to real estate agents, mortgage brokers, developers, inspectors or lead generators. This is not only a privacy position — it is the same rule that governs our revenue, published in full at How we're paid.
Our service providers store and process information on servers outside New Zealand, including in Australia, the European Union, the United Kingdom and the United States. Personal information is also accessed by us from outside New Zealand in the course of running the business.
We only use providers that are subject to privacy laws or contractual protections comparable to those required by the Privacy Act 2020. By asking us for a report you agree to your information being stored and accessed overseas on this basis.
No system is perfectly secure. If a privacy breach occurs that is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the Office of the Privacy Commissioner as the Privacy Act 2020 requires.
You have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to get a copy of it, and to ask us to correct it if it is wrong.
Email hello@currentanalytics.co.nz. We will respond within 20 working days, as the Privacy Act requires. There is no charge. If we cannot give you something, we will tell you why.
You can also ask us to delete information we no longer need to keep, and we will unless a legal obligation or a live dispute requires us to retain it.
Our website uses basic, aggregate analytics to count visits and page views. We do not use advertising cookies, we do not run tracking pixels for advertising networks, and there are no affiliate or tracked links anywhere on our site or in our reports.
If you think we have mishandled your information, tell us first at hello@currentanalytics.co.nz — we would rather fix it than have you go elsewhere first. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner at privacy.org.nz, which is free and independent.
We may update this statement. Each version carries a number and a date, and the current version governs. If we ever make a change that materially affects how we use information already collected, we will say so here and date it.
